You are not the character in your film.
You are the Space it plays in.
Everything you see, feel and think is a passing plot. Before every thought, every feeling and every role there is a pure, unbreakable presence.
The Architecture of Perception
Separating the Observed from the Observer
A simple test of truth: whatever you can observe is not the whole of the One observing.
Thought and Thinking
A thought arrives, sounds in your head and leaves. You observe the pause between thoughts. If you were the thought, you would vanish when it ended.
Emotion and Feeling
Anxiety, joy, sadness — these are waves of energy in the body. You are the unchanging Space that knows they are here.
The State of «I Am»
A quiet, deep Presence. It has no name, no age, no fear and no history. It was here BEFORE this page appeared and remains AFTER.
Interactive Experience
The Cinema Screen Metaphor
Change what happens on the «screen» and notice: does the Screen itself change?
«Oh God, what happens next? What if none of it works out?»
The character scrambles, hunts for solutions, feels the weight and the fear of not making it in time.
Direct Experience
Returning to the Point of Presence
Pause. Put your attention not on the words, but on the One reading these lines right now.
«Am I aware of my own existence right now without using a thought?»
(Did you notice the short silence before the mind supplied an answer? That is You.)
«Does the Consciousness observing this room have an age, a fear, or a shape?»
(Only the body has shape and age. The Observer has no edges.)
The Art of Projection
How Do You Change the Character?
Not through the mind’s frantic affirmations, but by granting the Character a New Quality out of the State of Being.
«Right now I see and feel my character in a state of peace and unbreakable stillness. He has no need to fight the film, because the whole film is born out of his own Consciousness.»
Hold that sensation in the body for ten seconds. The character adjusts by itself.
God is not somewhere. God is you 🙂
∞
Open to God alone — the infinite source of abundance, the one the stars and this morning are made of; incomparable, spotless, acquainted with neither need nor refusal; the most generous and the most free; the most magnificent being there is.
The list of those admitted is short: YOU 🙂
